People don't like to hear it, but the truth is that death is a part of life. It touches us all and we all know someone who has passed away. Today, we heard about the death of an actor from one of our favorite TV shows and it made us think about our own mortality.Saying goodbye to a loved one is never easy, but we have support systems in place to help us through the grieving process. The thought of death can be a scary thing, especially when it involves one of our favorite movie stars. [MILD EXAMPLE IMAGE OF CELEBRITY DEATH]Some of our favorite actors and actresses are dying at an alarming rate. We don't know why and we don't know when it's going to stop, but for now we're paying tribute to some of the brightest lights that have been extinguished too soon.It seems like Hollywood is losing a lot of stars right now. How many can we expect to go before it begins to slow down?

It's not fair, because TV doesn't make sense. The average life expectancy of a person born in the United States is 76 years old and that includes men and women. Fewer than 1% of people die before their 50th birthday so there should be more time to mourn these losses than there is and yet I can't help but wonder when that moment will come.On one hand, I think about how the death of a celebrity shouldn't be newsworthy at all and that's the reality we're living in. More and more actors are dying every day and that's something that can't be happening.I'm old enough to remember when people like James Garner, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Michael J. Fox were well into their 60s but now I'm the one who's getting older. It doesn't make sense that things like this should happen to me or anyone else who still has a whole lot of years left in their life.We have so many celebrities below the age of 50 who have already left us. They include people like Jim Carrey, John Candy and Gene Wilder and it's a sad truth that we've lost many more actors than I expected to see.

It hurts my feelings when I think about how many of our favorite stars are falling off the map before their time. It reminds me of the time when Jennifer Lopez's father died and she was just 16 years old. Now she's in her 40s, has kids of her own and is on this show that people love so much.Every time she performs on a show, it feels like someone close to me is dying because she has that effect on everyone who watches her perform live. No one is ever ready to say goodbye to someone like that.I don't think we'll ever be able to put this into words. It's a sad thought, but it's something that has to be said. Our favorite actors and actresses aren't meant to die in the prime of their lives. They should live long enough to make more movies and shows for us, but for some reason things have been taken out of our hands completely and we haven't been able to stop it from happening. We've lost so many actors at a young age that it's hard not to think about what could have been if things hadn't happened this way.
